Pros & Considerations
Characters
Alphen/Shionne and the six-person party have strong skit chemistry and clear personal arcs
Graphics
The painterly shader and large elemental environments are among the series' strongest visuals
Music
Motoi Sakuraba's orchestral battle work has much greater cinematic weight than many earlier Tales entries
Exploration
Field maps are larger and more vertical than the corridor-heavy PS3-era games
◇Consider
Pacing: The final story stretch becomes exposition-heavy
Time commitment: Long — about 80 hours by the catalogue median
