Bring a Monster Wrangler if you want to rescue monstersThe remake's Monster Wrangler has tools for locating recruits and can bypass some recruitment obstacles that complicate other parties.

How to do it

  1. Add a Monster Wrangler when building the party at Patty's Party Planning Place.
  2. Use Animal Instinct as the class learns it; revisit suspicious areas at different times of day.

Plan a Sage switch around Alltrades AbbeyThe Book of Enlightenment in the optional Tower of Transcendence allows a level-20-or-higher ally to switch to Sage; a level-20 Gadabout is another route.

How to do it

  1. Reach Alltrades Abbey and the nearby optional tower to find the Book of Enlightenment.
  2. Before reclassing, check which useful skills your character would otherwise learn soon; plan the switch rather than automatically resetting every party member.
Farm Metal Slimes at the Tower of TranscendenceThe upper floors of this optional tower are a practical midgame Metal Slime route near Alltrades Abbey.

How to do it

  1. Visit the Tower of Transcendence north of Alltrades Abbey; hunt on the upper floors.
  2. Use tools such as Poison Needle or critical-hit methods to damage high-defense Metal Slimes before they flee.
Move to Liquid Metal Slimes at the Tower of RubissOnce you reach Alefgard, the fifth floor of the Tower of Rubiss offers much richer Liquid Metal Slime encounters.

How to do it

  1. Progress to the Tower of Rubiss in Alefgard and prepare for its stronger surrounding enemies.
  2. Search the fifth floor, prioritize liquid metals quickly, and retreat to heal when regular fights become too costly.

Important: Late-story location; the area and nearby encounters can be dangerous when under-levelled.

Aim for 50 rescued monsters to unlock Wild SideThe Monster Wrangler can unlock Wild Side at 50 rescues, which opens up extremely strong action combinations.

Do not restart because you missed a mini medalThe HD-2D remake's collectibles and friendly monsters are revisitable; a missed chest or medal is not generally a one-time lockout.

How to do it

  1. Keep exploring without worrying about permanently losing regular collectibles.
  2. Use Nose for Treasure, Snoop and Animal Instinct, then return to uncleared areas later.

Farm Gold Golems in the Alefgard regionGold Golems appear as rare field encounters in Alefgard, making them a repeatable way to build cash for expensive late-game equipment.

How to do it

  1. Head to the regions around Rimuldar/Alefgard after reaching the lower world.
  2. Search for Gold Golem encounters, defeat them efficiently, then repeat; the yield is better with a reliable party that avoids long recovery breaks.

Important: Encounter frequency varies; this is a late-game method, not an early money exploit.
