Aced
Foreteller of Ursus
Story and background
Strong-willed and impatient with inaction, Aced challenges Ira's leadership and gathers supporters, accelerating the rivalry that leads toward war.
Events and connections in the series
The Master trained six apprentices. Five became the Foretellers: Ira, Aced, Invi, Gula, and Ava. They led five Unions of Keyblade wielders in Daybreak Town, where young warriors travelled through worlds projected from the Book of Prophecies and collected Lux, the light they believed could protect the future. The sixth apprentice was Luxu. Unlike the others, he was not given command of a Union. He was given a mission that would last generations.
Ira was expected to lead when the Master disappeared. Aced was placed in a position that could challenge him. Invi would observe and maintain balance. Gula was told to identify a traitor. Ava was to gather exceptional wielders into a group called the Dandelions, so that some could survive the coming war. Their separate instructions sounded practical in isolation. Together they guaranteed that, after the Master's disappearance, suspicion would replace trust.
The Foretellers began accusing one another. A corrupted Nightmare Chirithy appeared. A warning about a traitor became a reason to distrust every friend and ally. The Unions that were supposed to gather light eventually faced each other in battle. In the background, the Master had intended the strong hearts of his own circle to serve as potential prisons for the seven most powerful Darknesses. The other six were tied to his designs for the next generation and the data world.
Historical context
The ancient Keyblade era is remembered through competing accounts of prophecy, the Foretellers and the Dandelions. Individual motivations matter because the Master of Masters assigns different responsibilities that the apprentices do not fully understand. The consequences reach far beyond the first Keyblade War.
