Shevat
Floating refuge
Story and background
Shevat preserves the legacy of an older war against Solaris and the history of Sophia, Lacan and Krelian.
Events and connections in the series
Shevat preserves resistance and knowledge of an older war, while people such as Maria and her Gear Seibzehn embody the lasting human cost of Solaris's experiments. The further the party travels, the less credible the world's accepted religions, nations and histories become. The buried wreckage, ancient technology and the Ministry's plans begin to converge into a single explanation.
Episode IV • about 500 years before the game Sophia and Lacan's relationship unfolds during the Solaris–Shevat conflict. Sophia dies; Lacan becomes Grahf; Krelian turns his grief into a program of radical transcendence.
