Events and connections in the series
Thousands of years pass. A technologically advanced civilization called Zeboim rises, then struggles with widespread infertility, genetic deterioration and political turmoil. The Contact returns as Kim Kasim, a scientist whose work on nanomachines is motivated by a desire to improve life rather than submit to the systems exploiting it.
Kim's bond with the Elly of that era continues the ancient pattern. Their research leads to Emeralda, an artificial life-form created through advanced nanotechnology. Miang's intervention destroys their hopes: Elly dies protecting the project, Kim ensures Emeralda survives, and Zeboim descends into catastrophe. Much later, Fei and his companions discover Emeralda and the ruins that preserve this history.
Episode III • about 4,000 years before the game In Zeboim, the Contact lives as Kim, loves that era's Elly, and creates Emeralda. The civilization collapses after political and biological crises and violent intervention.
