Growlanser II: Wein becomes a knight
Wein Cruz wants to join Burnstein's elite knights after a devastating war, while his friend Max hopes to prevent future wars by entering politics. Wein assembles allies including Charlone and Hans, is framed for a disaster and becomes entangled with people from the first Growlanser. A childhood acquaintance, Arieta, appears unchanged by time and is found attacking settlements under the influence of an older dark power.
Growlanser II: the price of forced peace
A mercenary named Wolfgang seeks a nation of his own, and Wein's choices can lead him either to oppose or support that ambition. The darker twist is that Max comes to believe permanent peace requires controlling people's minds through a powerful artefact. Wein can oppose his former friend or initially accept the plan and later confront its terrible cost. The resolution and personal epilogues vary by branch and character affinity.
Growlanser III: Slayn's lost past
The second included game begins in western Kirschland, where failing sunlight and barren soil threaten multiple nations. Slayn Wilder is found near death and is cared for by Anette Burns of Xironia. His lost memories, ability to perceive spirits and dangerous encounters with desperate neighbouring countries carry the party toward the truth of a world in decline.
Ending explained: Slayn defeats Zion in Growlanser III
The third game's struggle leads Slayn to confront Zion, who is exploiting the realm of spirits while the continent suffers. Once the party defeats Zion, Slayn calls on the spirits to cut off his control and bring the immediate crisis to an end. The final scenes allow Slayn to return to the Dark Mountain alone or accompany a chosen companion; the intimate endings depend on prior relationship choices. These outcomes belong to Growlanser III, separately from Wein's branch-dependent resolution in Growlanser II.
