Sandra sends Carmaine into the world

Carmaine is raised by Lady Sandra in Rosaria, the capital of Rolandia. When he comes of age, she sends him out accompanied by the homunculus fairy Tippi. His travels take him through dangerous disputes among Rolandia, Burnstein and Ranzack, gradually drawing him into the political struggles that govern the region.

Growsians and the Featherians

Carmaine discovers the importance of Growshu magic, the specially gifted Growsians and the secluded winged Featherians. His connection to his sister Louise and to other companions becomes central as the regional wars appear less like spontaneous disagreements and more like the results of deliberate manipulation.

Gevel's creation and the secret identity

The enemy Gevel has been encouraging conflict and using creations tied to its own power. Carmaine discovers that his existence is connected to Gevel: he depends on the very power flowing from the being he must defeat. Stopping the antagonist means risking his own dissolution. That personal danger reframes the heroic mission as a struggle to claim a life independent of the one who created him.

Ending explained: freedom and chosen relationships

After Gevel's defeat and the final struggle against the remaining threat, the nations and Featherians use extraordinary power and shared resolve to save Carmaine from his fatal dependency. The future no longer has to be decided by Gevel's design. Individual companion endings depend on the relationship choices made during the journey; particular versions add alternate-route developments that should not be mistaken for one mandatory ending.
