Story and background
A Solaris officer whose empathy leads her away from the empire. Her soul is linked to the recurring Elly and to the mysterious events involving Abel and the Wave Existence.
Elly begins the story as a Solaris officer, but her compassion repeatedly conflicts with the system that raised her.
The Antitype’s recurring bond with the Contact links Elly to earlier incarnations, including the life of Sophia. These repetitions are central to the deeper history of Xenogears.
Her final decisions challenge the belief that suffering can be solved by forcing humanity into a supposedly perfect existence.
Historical context
The Xenogears story spans millennia between the Eldridge catastrophe and Fei’s era. Solaris, the Contact and the Antitype connect personal tragedies to the attempted restoration of Deus. Characters may occupy very different places in that engineered history.
