Events and connections in the series
Thousands of years pass. A technologically advanced civilization called Zeboim rises, then struggles with widespread infertility, genetic deterioration and political turmoil. The Contact returns as Kim Kasim, a scientist whose work on nanomachines is motivated by a desire to improve life rather than submit to the systems exploiting it.
Historical context
The Xenogears story spans millennia between the Eldridge catastrophe and Fei’s era. Solaris, the Contact and the Antitype connect personal tragedies to the attempted restoration of Deus. Characters may occupy very different places in that engineered history.
